Yangming Shipping is expected to win the bid for the new Kaohsiung Port terminal project through BOT on July 17, 2013. The terminal project currently has 7 bidding units, and the winning list will be announced at the end of July, with a bidding price of up to 364 million US dollars. The bidding terminal project will build 4 berths in two phases, and the entire project will be completed in 2012 with a total designed throughput capacity of 2 million TEUs. Last year, the container throughput of Kaohsiung Port was 9.7 million TEUs, and it is expected to reach 10 million TEUs this year.
