Since 2010, Shidao New Port has invested 1.8 billion yuan to build 7 berths of over 10000 tons, supporting breakwaters, and 50000 ton waterway projects. In August 2016, the two 20000 ton and one 50000 ton berth projects on the 16th to 18th were completed in advance, with a berth length of 661.5 meters and a designed annual throughput capacity of 3.13 million tons.
On July 21st, three newly built 10000 ton berths in Shidao New Port were officially opened and passed the inspection and acceptance of relevant departments in Shandong Province. The inspection team composed of the Provincial Port Office, Qingdao Customs, Provincial Public Security Border Defense Corps, Shandong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Shandong Maritime Bureau, and Provincial Port and Shipping Bureau, who participated in the acceptance inspection, conducted on-site inspections of the proposed berth opening site of Shidao New Port and listened to relevant work reports. Fully agree to the preparation work for the external opening of the three 10000 ton berths newly built in Shidao New Port, and sign and pass the acceptance inspection.
