On October 14th, the inaugural ceremony of the "Starlink 1" from Ishijima New Port to Tokyo was held, marking the official opening of the Ishijima to Tokyo cargo roll on/roll off shipping route and becoming another important sea route for our city's trade with Japan. The route is operated in cooperation between Ishijima Group and Japan's Sinotrans Shipping Co., Ltd., with one weekly service between Ishijima and international important ports such as Tokyo, Yokohama, and Busan in South Korea. The opening of air routes can greatly shorten transportation time, improve operational efficiency, and provide more convenient services for customers. It will play a positive role in expanding the influence of Shidao New Port in Northeast Asia and promoting its creation as an international port. In recent years, the overall situation of the maritime industry has been relatively severe. Shidao Group has continuously innovated its service models, expanded its service areas, vigorously carried out transit container business, created distinctive business brands, and enhanced its competitive advantages, occupying a place in the fierce market competition. At present, passenger and freight roll on/roll off shipping routes have been opened to Incheon and Gunsan in South Korea, full container shipping routes to Busan, Gwangyang, Pyeongtaek in South Korea, Kanto, Kansai, Kyushu and other places in Japan, domestic container shipping routes to Guangzhou and Quanzhou, and Qingdao foreign trade internal branch lines. The total throughput of port cargo has always remained at a high level of 10 million tons.
