The designated port for imported meat in Shidao New Port has successfully passed the inspection of the expert group of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China

On April 14th, the designated port audit and acceptance expert group for imported meat of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China visited the company to audit and accept the designated port for imported meat of Shidao New Port. Wang Hongbing, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Wang Xiaofeng, Deputy Secretary General of the Weihai Municipal Government, Jiang Shan, Secretary of the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee, Lv Shaowei, Deputy Mayor Wang Gang, Chairman Yin Yuanhua, Vice Chairman and Deputy General Manager Shao Xinqiang, as well as leaders of relevant departments such as the Inspection and Quarantine and Port Office of our province, received the expert group for audit and acceptance of the designated port for imported meat of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China.

The audit and acceptance work of the designated port for imported meat was first held. At the meeting, Wang Gang, Deputy Mayor of Rongcheng City, and relevant leaders of the Municipal Inspection and Quarantine Bureau introduced the construction work of the designated port for imported meat in our city. Since the start of the construction work of the designated port for imported meat in Shidao New Port, the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, and Municipal Inspection and Quarantine Bureau have attached great importance to and made every effort to promote the overall development and promotion of foreign trade in our city. We have had repeated consultations and discussions on how to promote the construction of the project, and have put forward guidance from various aspects such as improving the external environment, hardware facilities, personnel allocation, departmental coordination, and institutional construction. At the same time, we have actively reported to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to seek support. Subsequently, the Vice Chairman and Deputy General Manager of the company, Shao Xinqiang, reported to the expert group on the construction of the designated port for imported meat at Shidao New Port through the broadcast of promotional videos. In order to further expand the port's service functions and meet the demand for meat processing and market in our city and surrounding areas, with the strong support and assistance of the Rongcheng Municipal Government and Rongcheng Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, more than 3 million yuan was invested to build the infrastructure for the designated port for imported meat. According to the "Requirements for Basic Capacity Building of Designated Ports/Inspection Sites for Imported Meat" formulated by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, all have been completed and prepared. There is a closed dedicated inspection and quarantine area of 6038 square meters. Including inspection cold chain integrated platform, container X-ray inspection warehouse, inspection and quarantine room, as well as sampling room, emergency response room and other inspection supporting facilities. There are two storage facilities supporting the cold chain inspection platform, and video surveillance is installed in different areas of the inspection and quarantine site, which can cover the main process of entering the site and ensure that the designated port for imported meat is put into operation as soon as possible.

Subsequently, the expert group for the designated port inspection and acceptance of imported meat from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China conducted on-site inspections of the designated port inspection and quarantine areas for imported meat, as well as cold chain inspection and supporting storage facilities.

Finally, Meng Chuanjin, the leader of the expert group for the designated port audit and acceptance of imported meat at the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, provided feedback on the opinions of the expert group at the summary meeting. Meng Chuanjin believes that the Shandong Provincial Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee and Government attach great importance to the construction of this project. The inspection and quarantine department actively assists, implements various guarantee measures for imported meat, and the on-site inspection facilities at the port are basically complete. The system construction is relatively comprehensive, and the testing capacity meets the testing needs. The port conditions meet the overall requirements. Constructive opinions and suggestions have been put forward regarding the problems of incomplete food safety linkage mechanism and inadequate labeling in the construction of the designated port for imported meat at Shidao New Port. The final expert group unanimously agreed to recommend that the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approve Shidao New Port as the designated port for imported meat.
