The Far East Shipping Association (FEFC) recently issued a surcharge announcement, stating that fuel and currency surcharges for goods traveling between Europe and the Mediterranean region in August will be adjusted.
The fuel surcharge for goods traveling between the UK, northwestern Europe, the Mediterranean, and Scandinavia has been increased from $307 per TEU to $312 per TEU, while the fuel surcharge for goods traveling between the Baltic region has been increased from $312 per TEU to $317 per TEU, and the currency surcharge has been adjusted from 10.6% to 10.3%.
