The domestic container throughput of ports in Fujian Province has risen

According to statistics from the transportation department of Fujian Province, the container throughput of coastal ports in Fujian continued to maintain a steady growth trend in the first half of the year. The container throughput of the province exceeded 3.2365 million TEUs for the first time in the first half of the year, with a growth rate of 19.4% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the domestic container throughput reached 865900 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 45.2%, and the foreign container throughput reached 2.3706 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 12.1%.

The growth of container throughput in Fujian coastal ports is mainly driven by the volume of domestic trade containers. Among them, the increase in domestic container prices in Fuzhou Port and Xiamen Port is particularly significant. It is reported that due to the expansion of domestic container routes, Fuzhou Port completed a domestic container throughput of 121800 TEUs in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 57.0%; The re inclusion of the transportation part within the port in the container throughput has also led to a rapid increase in the volume of domestic trade containers in Xiamen Port. Xiamen Port completed a total of 303800 TEUs of containers in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 98.0%. The port and shipping management department of Fujian Province pointed out that from the development trend of the economic zone on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait and the large-scale transportation system planning that Fujian is currently building, there is still room for improvement in the throughput of goods and containers in Fujian's coastal ports.
